CHART: China's Premium Smartphone Market Grew in 2022

Despite China's smartphone shipments hitting their lowest point in almost 10 years, the wholesale average selling price of smartphones in China has consistently risen since 2014, reaching $385 in 2022, as per the data provided by Counterpoint research.

Smartphone shipments witnessed a 41.5% decline compared to the peak sales year of 2016, however, smartphone sales revenue only experienced an 11.7% decrease during the same period, driven by the smartphone average selling price (ASP) that has continued to trend upward since 2014.
