Chinese AR glasses and OS startup Thin Red Line raises $50 million
Thin Red Line, an Augmented Reality (AR) operating system developer, has secured $50 million in angel funding, according to the company's Weibo page (in Chinese).
- Thin Red Line was founded by Chinese tech celebrity Luo Yonghao in June this year, with a focus on AR and making the “next generation of personal computing devices.”
- Luo previously founded the Chinese phone brand Smartisan and is a popular livestream e-commerce host in China.
- The release of the first hardware product of Thin Red Line will be available in the market over the next 5 years.
- The funding round was led by Meituan's VC firm, other notable tech firms and investors such as the VC arm of Lenovo, DJI, BlueRun Ventures, Matrix Partners, and ATM Capital also participated.
