Congolese Web3 startup Jambo raises $30 million in Series A

Jambo, a Congo-based startup building a Web3 user acquisition platform has raised $30 million in its Series A funding round from Paradigm, an investment firm focusing on crypto/web3 companies.

  • Launched in 2021, Jambo combines education, collective access to play-to-earn games and a curated network of web3 applications on its super app to attract millions of African youths to web3.
  • The startup last raised $7.5 million in its seed round in February 2022 from Coinbase (COIN), and Alameda Research among others.
  • The latest funding round marks Paradigm's first investment in Africa after it launched a $2.5 billion crypto fund in November 2021.
