Elon Musk's latest venture, X TV goes live
On its quest to become the "everything app", X now has an app that allows you to access it right from your TV
About two years ago, Elon Musk acquired Twitter for a staggering $44 billion. Since then, the social media platform has undergone a number of significant transformations.
One of the most noticeable changes was the rebranding of Twitter to X, complete with a new logo. Additionally, Musk introduced a paid verification system, allowing users to purchase blue checkmarks.
Beyond cosmetic changes, Musk has also implemented several new features. Grok, an AI assistant powered by X's vast dataset, has been introduced to provide users with helpful information and responses. Additionally, the platform has seen enhancements to its direct messaging (DM) functionality.
Musk's vision for X extends beyond a traditional social media platform. He aims to create an "everything app," a versatile platform that can serve various needs. As part of this ambitious goal, Musk has recently launched X TV. This app allows users to access the X platform directly from their televisions, similar to popular streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
An X user, "DogeDesigner," announced that X TV is now available on Android TVs. Musk himself confirmed this development, stating that the beta version of X TV is officially out.
From the post, it can only be confirmed that the app is available on LG, Amazon TV and Google TV. However, more integrations are expected to arrive soon.
With the introduction of X TV, Musk is taking another step towards realizing his vision of a comprehensive and all-encompassing platform.
