In a wave of new tech updates coming this March, from Samsung releasing One UI 7 to Apple releasing iOS 18.4 Beta 2, Google isn’t letting its users miss out. It announced a bunch of exciting updates promising to make your Pixel and Android devices slicker, smarter, and way more connected than ever before.

First up, personalization and ease. Pixel users can now quickly swipe to change modes like 'Driving' or 'Bedtime', instantly adjusting their phone to what they’re doing. Pixel Watch owners also get easier audio control right from their wrist. It's about making tech feel more intuitive.

Speaking of smooth, screenshots is always a mess to organize, but it's getting some upgrades as Google just made screenshots smarter. Pixel now suggests which screenshots to keep and can even separate work and personal ones–think effortless sorting of receipts, expense reports, and all that work-related visual info. And for those of us with voice notes and old recordings piling up, the Recorder app now transcribes recordings when transferred to a new Pixel. And voice typing gets a boost with Gboard’s new Voice Toolbar.

But the real engine behind many upgrades is Gemini AI. Gemini Live is getting a major upgrade, letting you chat in over 45 languages without changing settings. You can also add images or videos to chats, and live video and screen sharing are coming to Gemini Advanced, making it a powerful communication tool.

Beyond convenience, Google is also doubling down on safety. Scam Detection, powered by Gemini Nano, is getting better at spotting scam calls and messages in real-time, alerting you while keeping your conversations private.

Staying connected to loved ones is also becoming more seamless with Find My Device, which now allows real-time location sharing with family and friends. Pixel Watch 3 introduces potentially life-saving Loss of Pulse Detection, alongside menstrual and more accurate step tracking, plus Auto-bedtime Mode for better sleep and battery life on both Pixel Watch 3 & 2.

Pixel Fold and creator types get love too. Dual Screen Preview now supports video recording. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold gains ‘Add Me’ for group photos, and connected cameras let creators link Pixel to GoPros for multi-angle streaming.

The March Pixel Drop is rolling out now. Google’s clearly aiming to make Pixels and Android devices not just smarter, but more seamless and integrated into our daily lives.
