Flat6Labs launches StartMashreq program to support entrepreneurs in MENA region
Flat6Labs, the leading seed investor in the MENA region, has launched StartMashreq, a two-year entrepreneurship program in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the government of the Netherlands.
StartMashreq aims to support entrepreneurs from underserved demographics, including women, refugees, minorities, and internally displaced persons, across Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq.
The program is open to individuals between 18 and 45 years old who have innovative ideas and projects in education, fintech, financial inclusion, healthcare technology, agriculture, environment, and information and communication technology.
StartMashreq comprises three tracks, including StartMashreq Academy, which offers resources, digital sessions, and training courses, Growth Support Program for mature startups, and Incubation Program, which helps participants develop a comprehensive business plan and growth strategy.
The program will provide 20 startups throughout the region with workshops, meetings, networking channels, and local and international legal support at no cost. The partnership between IFC and Flat6Labs aims to support entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic growth in the Levant region, particularly among underserved groups.
The StartMashreq platform is open to all interested candidates across Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq to access free educational content and tools. Interested individuals and entrepreneurs can apply for the Incubation and Growth Support programs by creating an account on the StartMashreq website and completing the registration form.
