Gemini AI Could Make Your Car Talk With You
Reports state that Gemini Live may be added to Android Auto.
AI is slowly becoming ever present with how much it is being integrated into things around us. We've seen it in phones, goggles, pins, even in our gadgets too. But now, Google wants to bring it to our cars too.
Reports have stated that Gemini Live may be coming to Android Auto and might even become its default assistant.
This reveal from Tom's Guide states they noticed some code that suggests this in a recent update for Android Auto. The first major clue that hinted at this was the famous sparkle sign that's associated with the assistant.
Code reading "assistant_kitt_live_icon" also hinted at this. There are some speculations that this, 'Kitt' would be the name of the assistant in auto play. It is suspected that this update will likely become your default if you use Android Auto.
Gemini Live is only available to Gemini Premium subscribers but it doesn't require any special hardware. For that reason, it is likely that all cars with Android Auto and a premium subscription will have access to it.
With the world's current state of technology, we have automated security systems, personal assistants on our phones and now, self-driving cars. With this potential new addition to Android Auto, we would be able to have our cars speak back to us.
Slowly but surely, the world is evolving, and we can all anticipate when we get our own little Jarvis with us everywhere we go.
