According to IDC's Worldwide AI and Generative AI Spending Guide, spending on GenAI in the region is projected to skyrocket to a staggering $26 billion by 2027, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 95.4% from 2022 to 2027.
This explosive growth rate is expected to match that of North America fueled by heavy investments in data infrastructure and AI platforms, and making the region a breeding ground for the next wave of AI innovation and technological advancement.
The growth is projected to peak within the next two years, followed by a period of stabilization, with China maintaining its position as the dominant market for GenAI, while Japan and India are expected to see the fastest growth in GenAI adoption.
