Google Messages Introduces New Camera UI for Seamless Photo and Video Sharing
With this update, the Messages' new camera UI will replace your Android phone's default viewfinder.
Google Messages has introduced a fresh camera user interface (UI) to simplify the process of sharing photos and videos with friends and family.
With this update, the Messages' new camera UI will replace your Android phone's default viewfinder. You'll find a handy camera icon right on the home screen, making it super quick to capture and send moments that matter right within the app.
But while the updated viewfinder offers convenient features like zoom presets, it has been streamlined compared to the system camera app, missing some previous camera controls like adjusting settings, switching the aspect ratio, enabling the grid, or doing anything else when taking your picture.
However, you still have the option to disable/enable the flash, switch to the selfie camera, and seamlessly switch between photo and video modes on the fly.
This update is part of Google's ongoing efforts to elevate photo and video sharing within its messaging platform. With easier access to the camera UI right from your home screen or within specific conversations, sharing your favourite memories has never been simpler.
