Google Wallet's web version has finally been made available to 13 more countries after being exclusive to users in the United States and Japan.

Google Wallet's web version was launched back in April 2024 to allow users access to passes such as IDs, payment methods, and transaction history. Now, users in the newly expanded countries can maximize its full potential and benefit from the features it provides.

The list of countries that Google Wallet has now expanded to include Brazil, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, the UK, and Ukraine.

The Google Wallet web version comes with a standout feature known as the detailed transaction history, which exceeds the Android app's limitation of showing only 10 tap-to-pay interactions.

Users can access all their transaction history once they verify their identity through Google Prompt. They can also access a settings page that links to various Google preferences for managing their personal information.

Interestingly, the Google Wallet web version is designed with Material 3 and has replaced Google Pay after being modeled after it. Also, the expanded availability makes it more accessible to a larger audience, who will now be able to manage their digital finances and pass in a much more efficient manner.

Existing payment methods will be automatically transferred to Google Wallet, ensuring a smooth transition.

Google confirmed that its reason for expanding the Google Wallet web version was to streamline the management of digital payments and passes, providing more users with a unified platform accessible from both their mobile devices and web browsers.

Hopefully, in the future, Google can expand the Google Wallet web version to users in other countries and regions who still do not have access to it.
