Google’s Pixel 9 Pro pre-orders to begin in India — here's all you need to know

After a two-month delay since its debut at the “Made by Google” event in August, Google’s Pixel 9 Pro is finally arriving in India.

Pre-orders open on October 17 at 12 PM IST through Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital, with a price tag of ₹1,09,999 for the 256GB model.

This release completes the Pixel 9 lineup in India, joining the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which launched locally in September.

Google’s phased release strategy—first introducing select models, then adding the Fold and now the Pro—reflects a calculated entry into India’s competitive premium smartphone market where Apple and Samsung are well-established. But with the full lineup in place, Google is clearly signalling that it’s ready to contend in this space.

At the core of the Pixel 9 Pro is Google’s Tensor G4 processor and Gemini AI model, which together drive the device’s unique AI-focused experience.
