How to add music to your WhatsApp status

As someone who posts on WhatsApp status a lot, there have been times when I wanted to add a bit of spice to my posts or change the sound of a video.
Usually, this meant opening an editing app, making adjustments, and then going back to WhatsApp to post again. But with WhatsApp’s latest update, that hassle is now a thing of the past.
WhatsApp users can now add music directly to their posts from within the app. In this article, I’ll show you the quick and easy way to do it.
How to add music to your WhatsApp status
Step 1: Open WhatsApp and tap 'Updates'
Step 2: Tap 'Add Status' at the top right
Step 3: Select the image or video you want to post
Step 4: Tap the sound icon at the top
Step 5: Search for any song or pick from the suggested list. I chose from the suggested list.
Step 6: Scroll through the song to choose the part you want, then tap ‘Done’
Step 7: Check the sound icon to confirm your song choice. If it looks right, hit the Send button at the bottom right
Step 8: And just like that, your status is now more interesting instead of just a static image

With these simple steps, you can add almost any song to any media on your status, making just a bit more interesting than being plain. Just remember, the feature is still pretty new so it most likely doesn't have a huge library of songs so don't be shocked if you don't see any of your favourites there.
