How to Turn Off Windows Defender on Windows 10

Windows security is Windows' first defence against all forms of viruses and threats. It does this by scanning your device and running file types through a database of known virus types to determine if it's harmful or not.

However, there are times when this can backfire on PC. Windows Security is known to prevent people from downloading almost anything online, virus or not. Sometimes, it even goes as far as to delete already downloaded content all in a bid to keep you safe. Turning it off helps with this problem.

💡
NOTE! Only disable Windows Security when you are downloading files from trusted sources. You wouldn't want a messy malware situation.
