Indian food delivery company Swiggy acquires Dineout for $200 million

Swiggy, a food delivery company based in India has acquired Dineout, a tech-operated restaurant for $200 million.

  • The acquisition is helping Swiggy, an online delivery company focus on dine-in restaurant services in India.
  • Launched in 2012, Dineout is an eat-out restaurant offering table reservations and event services with a network of 50,000 partner restaurants in India.
  • The restaurant startup was founded by Ankit Mehrotra, Nikhil Bakshi, Sahil Jain and Vivek Kapoor and was acquired by Times Internet in 2014.
