Indian FreshR raises $1.2 million in a new round

FreshR, a fish and meat distribution startup in India has raised $1.2 million in its new funding round led by Axilor Ventures and 1Crowd.

• The funds will be used to expand its presence in other markets, build out its tech stack, and develop its team, the firm claims.
• FreshR is a tech-led aggregator platform using operational efficiency and integration to provide high-value transactions in India.
• The firm trades perishable meat products in remote areas in India including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
• It launched an app early this year to regulate prices and grades and allow bulk buyers to place their orders and monitor quality processes.
