Indian on-demand work fulfilment platform Awign bags $15 million in funding
Awign, an India-based on-demand work fulfilment platform has raised $15 million in its Series B funding round co-led by Bertelsmann India Investment and Amicus Capital Partners, in participation with others.
- The fund will be used to improve its technology stack, expand into global markets, support supply and demand acquisitions, and further register its presence in local markets, the startup claims.
- Founded in 2016, Awign helps enterprises run their businesses at scale by solving end-to-end outcome-based execution alongside discovery, payroll management, and deployment.
- The startup has registered more than 1 million gig partners across 500 cities in India. It aims to add 500,000 registered partners every year.
- Mynavi Corporation, Unitus Ventures, and Michael & Susan Dell Foundation participated in the new round. Awign last raised $7.3 million in funding from Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, Unitus Ventures, Lumis Partners, Work10M, Eagle10 Ventures, Blacksoil, and Stride Ventures.
