CHART: India's UPI monthly transactions in 2023

India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is on a continuous upward trajectory.

In October 2023, it celebrated a milestone by surpassing 11 billion transactions, marking impressive growth in both volume and value. According to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), UPI recorded 11.41 billion transactions, valued at Rs 17.16 lakh crore (or Rs 17.16 trillion) in the past month, as the Techloy chart below shows.
