CHART: India's Tech Startup Funding Landscape in H1 2024

The Indian startup ecosystem can finally breathe a sigh of relief. After four consecutive half-year periods of decline, funding for tech startups in India has shown an upward trend compared to the second half (H2) of 2023.

According to a report by data intelligence platform Tracxn, Indian startups raised $4.1 billion in the first half of 2024, marking a 4% increase from $3.96 billion in H2 2023. However, this is a 13% decrease compared to the $4.8 billion raised in H1 2023.

In another interesting report by Inc42’s ‘Indian Tech Startup Funding Report, cumulative funding for Indian startups crossed a landmark $150 billion in H1 2024. Between 2014 and H1 2024, the total funding in India’s startup ecosystem reached $151 billion across 10,500 deals.
