Indonesia's Social Bella raises $60 million led by Temasek and L Catterton
Social Bella, an Indonesia-based tech-enabled beauty company known for its omnichannel commerce site Sociolla, has raised $60 million in funding led by Temasek Holding and L Catterton.
- This funding round is coming after Social Bella raised $56.6 million in May last year to support its regional expansion. So far, the startup has raised $105 million with an estimated valuation of about $564 million.
- Founded in 2018, Social Bella (AKA Sociolla) claims that its margins are increasing and its footprints have expanded 20 times since 2020.
- Social Bella has about 48 stores across 15 cities in Indonesia, and has now started expanding into Vietnam with 13 locations at the moment.
- In addition, it has also launched Lilla, a business unit focusing on the mother and baby market. The store has recently opened its first physical store in Indonesia.
- Sociolla is targeting Southeast Asia's $60 billion SHEconomy categories, and it aims to start with the region’s over US$10 billion beauty market.
