Lumina Capital Invests $63 Million in Agibank to Fuel Growth and Prepare for IPO
Lumina Capital has made a $63 million private equity investment in Agibank, a Brazilian neobank, valuing the company at $1.748 billion. The investment marks Lumina’s first venture into private equity and strengthens Agibank’s market position.
Agibank provides payroll loans and personal credit primarily to low-income individuals in Brazil. The company operates with a hybrid model combining digital banking services and physical smart centres, helping it serve a broader demographic than fully digital neobanks.
The new funding will enable Agibank to scale its operations, accelerate product offerings, and support its strategic goal of pursuing an IPO in the coming years. The capital will also help optimize its technology infrastructure and enhance cross-selling capabilities, driving further growth.
