INFOGRAPHIC: LatAm's Top Weekly Startup Funding — Week 5, 2025
In this week's funding deals, we tracked Credicuotas, Taxflow, and Jota in the LatAm region.
It’s been a relatively quiet week for startup funding in Latin America, with only a handful of companies securing investments. Argentine fintech, Credicuotas, raised $18.2 million through negotiable debt security organized by BIND Banco and Industrial Valores. This fund will be used to lower its financing costs and expand its portfolio, offering customers a wider range of solutions in 2025.
Following closely, is Jota, the Brazilian Fintech focused on managing payments, collections, and business management through a smart conversational platform. The startup raised an $8.9M seed round, led by MAYA Capital and with the participation of HOF Capital, BigBets, Alter Global, Bogari Capital, North Ventures, and Angels investors.
Meanwhile, San Francisco-based AI-driven fintech Taxflow secured $750K in a pre-seed round with participation from Platanus Ventures, BFF, and prominent angel investors including Brian Requarth of Latitud and Brian York. The fresh capital will go toward team expansion and tech development.
Beyond these deals, it’s been a slow week in the region's startup funding scene. Unlike previous weeks where different sectors also attracted significant backing, this time around, fintech remained the dominant player.
