Pula gets $20 million Series B fund to reach more farmers
- Pula, a Kenya-based Agritech startup, has raised $20 million in Series B funding, with BlueOrchard, IFC's $225 million venture capital platform amongst others leading the funding round.
- Founded in 2015 by Rose Goslinga and Thomas Njeru, the company designs and delivers innovative agri-insurance and digital products to help smallholder farmers endure climate risks and improve their farming practices to bolster their incomes over time.
- With this funding, Pula plans to make insurance available to 100 million smallholder farmers fulfilling its "triple 100 vision.”
