Pula gets $20 million Series B fund to reach more farmers
Pula, a Kenya-based Agritech startup, has raised $20 million in Series B funding, with BlueOrchard, IFC's $225 million venture capital platform amongst others leading the funding round.
Founded in 2015 by Rose Goslinga and Thomas Njeru, the company designs and delivers innovative agri-insurance and digital products to help smallholder farmers endure climate risks and improve their farming practices to bolster their incomes over time.
With this funding, Pula plans to make insurance available to 100 million smallholder farmers fulfilling its "triple 100 vision.”
