Ecozen Secures $30M to Scale Climate-Smart Agritech Solutions
- Pune-based agritech firm Ecozen has raised $30 million in a combination of equity and debt round led by US-based global investment manager Nuveen. InCred Credit Fund and U.S. International Development Finance Corporation also provided debt support.
- Founded in 2010, Ecozen specializes in climate-smart deep-tech solutions for agriculture, notably through its solar-powered systems, Ecotron and Ecofrost. These innovations have revolutionized India's irrigation and cold chain industries, benefiting over 180,000 farmers.
- With the new funding, Ecozen plans to scale its operations, deepen market penetration domestically and internationally, and expand its offerings into cleaner energy segments.
