Zinc Secures $25.5 Million in Seed Funding to Lead Edu-Wealth Innovation

India-based edu-wealth tech startup Zinc raised $25.5 million in a seed funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Quona Capital, EDBI, Global Ventures, and Saison Capital. This new capital will support Zinc’s mission to make global education accessible by helping families financially plan and invest in their children’s education abroad.

Founded in 2024 by Prashanth Ranganathan, former co-founder of PaySense, Zinc aims to simplify education financing through its platform, which includes personalized financial advice and investment planning. Zinc’s platform uses AI-driven tools, such as its edu-counselor 'Ada,' to guide families in creating tailored savings and investment strategies.

With these funds, Zinc plans to expand its product offerings and secure key financial licenses to enable cross-border payment solutions and personalized investment services, supporting its vision of becoming a full-stack financial services platform for families across India.
