It’s been another active week for startups in Asia, with five companies securing key investments across fintech, cybersecurity, AI, battery tech, and religion tech.
Leading the pack is Indian payments startup Cashfree, which raised $53 million in a Series C round to expand internationally, particularly in the Middle East, while strengthening its digital payment solutions.
Close behind, Singapore-based fileAI secured $14 million in Series A funding to improve its AI-powered document processing platform, reducing inefficiencies for enterprise clients.
Cybersecurity is also seeing investor confidence with Astra Security raising $2.7 million to expand its AI-powered vulnerability detection and continuous pen testing solutions that help businesses strengthen their security against evolving cyber threats.
Meanwhile, India’s Dreamfly Innovations closed $1.4 million in seed funding to ramp up production of its high-power drone battery technology. With India’s drone market projected to reach $13 billion over the next decade, this investment positions Dreamfly at the forefront of the sector’s growth.
In a more niche segment, Utsav, a religion tech startup, secured $730,000 in pre-Series A funding to scale its platform for temple services and religious offerings, catering to both domestic users and the Indian diaspora.
This mix of funding highlights continued investor interest in AI, fintech, and automation, while also signaling growth in emerging sectors like cybersecurity and drone technology.
