Instagram is Testing a New Chatbot Feature for its Influencers
Instagram influencers will connect more with fans using Creator AI regardless of the number of messages.
Instagram has introduced a new chatbot feature called Creator AI that will allow influencers to interact with fans through direct messages on the social network and potentially through Instagram comments in the future.
According to the social media platform, the feature is still in its early stages of testing and, when ready, will essentially be a chatbot capable of mimicking the voices of Instagram influencers when responding to their fans.
As of October 2023, there are around 64 million Instagram influencers globally, with 0.83% having between 100,000 and 1 million followers, according to data from TrendHero. This feature will benefit them immensely, as they will better connect with fans while decreasing the work required to respond to tons of messages and comments.
Influencers would be able to select the data Meta uses to copy the way they speak, including their previous Instagram posts, direct messages, comments, and audio from Reels and Instagram Stories, and dictate specific responses to certain questions.
This move is part of a collaborative effort by Mark Zuckerberg, who sees AI as an increasingly important driver of opportunity for people and businesses across the globe and wants to build the best platform for millions of creators to make a living.
