Kenyan healthtech startup Zuri Health raises $1.3 million
Zuri Health, an African-focused mobile-first healthtech startup, which recently launched Vera, its new WhatsApp chatbot, has raised $1.3 million in its pre-seed funding round to expand across Africa.
- The funds will be used to build out its digital platform, expand its product offering and enter into new African healthcare markets, the startup claims.
- Zuri Health partners with over 16 mobile network providers, 300 doctors, 27 diagnostic labs, and 15 pharmaceutical centres to provide mobile and app-based quality healthcare services in seven African countries.
- It is a virtual, mobile-driven platform linking certified medical professionals to patients to widen access to affordable quality health in Africa.
- DOB Equity, Launch Africa, and Founders Factory Africa led the funding round with participation from V8 Capital, Platform Capital, Villgro Africa, Asime Ventures, and the Salik Family Trust.
