Lemonade launches remittances to new African markets
Africa-focused neobank Lemonade Finance says that its users in the United Kingdom and Canada can now send money to ten African countries, with the addition of Senegal, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda.
According to the company, "the addition of Senegal, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda was data-driven," as they "have nationals abroad who often need to send money back home."
Before this announcement, the UK and Canadian diasporans could send money to their families and friends in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.
