Global Venture Capital firm, Lightspeed Venture Partners has secured $500 million for its India Fund to invest in startups across India and Southeast Asia.

  • The $500 million raise is part of the $7 billion raise announced by the VC to be invested in early and growth-stage startups globally.
  • The India Fund will be deployed as $500,000-$15 million for Series B investment.
  • With more than $1.5 billion invested in India, Lightspeed's portfolio includes Udaan, Cato Networks, Sharechat, Carta, Grafana, and Rubrik among others.
  • The VC also announced its launch of Lightspeed Faction which will fund web3 startups globally in the blockchain ecosystem.
