LinkedIn Unveils AI-Powered Tools to Assist Job Seekers
The new AI-powered tools are only available to premium subscribers
Job seekers on LinkedIn can now do more on the platform, as LinkedIn has unveiled a series of AI tools that make it easier for job seekers to apply for multiple jobs at once.
This comes after LinkedIn released GPT-powered tools last year focused on writing suggestions and job descriptions for its users, in a move that demonstrates the company’s commitment to integrating AI into its services.
Now LinkedIn has added many new capabilities for its premium subscribers who are #OpentoWork, including personalized resumes, AI-assisted cover letters, and more conversational job searches.
These new developments simplify the process and the time spent looking for jobs. For example, with the newly updated search feature, job seekers can be more specific with what they are searching for using queries like "find me a content writing job that pays at least $50,000 a year" or "AR developer roles in gaming."
You can also use LinkedIn AI to recommend certain changes to your resume based on the job description and generate a cover letter that sounds less robotic, based on your experience and the job you want to apply for.
Considering the rate at which many people apply for multiple jobs simultaneously, these AI tools will be useful and even increase the chances of their resume scaling the ATS or AI software many companies use to lessen the number of applications.
Moving on, LinkedIn has confirmed that it is still in the early stages of AI utilization and that it is making plans to get to the point where its users, which currently number over 1 billion globally per company data, will be able to see AI as agents capable of getting things done at the snap of a finger.
