Meta has added new cool features to its Ray-Ban smart glasses
The new features are surprisingly cool.
Did you see the Instagram reel posted by Mark Zuckerberg a few days ago showing off a new frame style and a video calling feature for the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses?
The new features are surprisingly cool, so much so that one could say that putting on glasses has now transcended from being a mere fashion statement to something much cooler. One of the coolest features is Apple Music compatibility, which allows you to control Apple Music hands-free while you play any song, playlist, station, or artist. You can also request recommendations based on your listening history.
The video calling feature is also pretty impressive, allowing you to call your family members and friends on both WhatsApp and Messenger. However, depending on where you are, you might not have access to the feature immediately, as it is rolling out gradually.
Other features include Meta's multimodal AI assistant, which it released back in December. According to the tech giant, it will be made available to users who purchase the product in the USA and Canada.
Meta has also taken great care to release the Wayfarer and Headliner models in new colours, with the Headliner getting a low-bridge fit for people who have issues with glasses slipping down their faces.
With the glass models costing between $299 and $499, it remains to be seen if Meta will increase the prices with the released features.
