Mexican healthtech startup Prosperia raises $2 million to improve diagnosis with AI
Prosperia, a Mexico-based healthtech startup using artificial intelligence to diagnose chronic illnesses, has raised $2 million in seed funding from the new Swedish Fund.
- The fund will be invested in developing new technological solutions to improve comprehensive healthcare for patients, scale its growth, and register its presence across the country.
- Founded in 2020, Prosperia offers two key tech-led health services, including determining the risk of developing diabetes, hypertension, or an optical ailment using a risk calculator and eye health assessment via AI algorithms, with a focus to expand access to healthcare in Latin America.
- The startup evolved from offering free services for a year (piloting) to raising its seed round.
- It is now looking to expand its operations to Brazil and Peru, and other LatAm countries.
