Do you know you can remix your favorite songs with AI?

AI is the gift that keeps on giving and giving.

Just when we thought that YouTube had taken a firm stance on cracking down on AI-generated content, the platform now seems to be changing its views. As it stands, the platform is now experimenting with a new feature that allows users to create... err...AI-powered music remixes.

What's that?, I hear you ask. The simple answer is: you can now "remake" songs the way you want them.

Thanks to AI, you are now able to "restyle" songs and modify elements like mood or genre. Imagine transforming your favourite old R&B track into a reggae hit. Even better, these restyled songs can be used to create 30-second YouTube Shorts, opening up exciting new possibilities for creators. Each AI-generated remix will also carry a label indicating it was created with AI, helping maintain transparency.

Before we get too excited, there are plagiarism concerns. Now, YouTube says it will ensure that credits remain with the original song on the Shorts audio page. So, my question is: will you use the tool or be concerned about originality and copyright?
