An Apple a Day, the Foldable Way

'Folding' under pressure.

by Emmanuel Oyedeji Louis Eriakha Kelechi Edeh David Adubiina

Foldables are no longer the futuristic tech they once appeared to be. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold has practically become the poster child for foldables, Huawei’s Mate XT is playing with wild tri-fold designs, and even ASUS is throwing foldable laptops into the mix.

Meanwhile, Apple has been sitting on the sidelines, as if waiting for everyone else to get the kinks out. But now, it looks like they’re finally ready to jump in—or at least, that’s what the latest rumours suggest. Here’s the thing: Apple’s known for taking its sweet time, stepping into markets only when they’re ready to make a splash. But, in the foldable space, competitors like Samsung and Huawei already have years of experience under their belts.

So, can Apple pull off its usual trick of showing up late but somehow redefining the game? Well, maybe! But for now, all we can do is wait and see if the tech giant is bringing the heat or just 'folding' under pressure.

Have a wonderful holiday season!
