China is making lemonade in the Sahara

While the US is busy throwing lemons at China, it appears that it has found a lemonade-making factory in the Sahara where it is quietly squeezing out the sweetest lemonade.

Of course, I'm not talking about fruits here, but rather China's love affair with electric vehicles (EVs), as the country's unexpected bromance with Morocco is expected to outsmart Uncle Sam's EV incentives.

No less than eight of China's EV battery giants have already marched into the North African country, faster than camels can sniff out a desert oasis, with one purpose: to build EV battery-making factories and potentially snag a piece of that juicy US EV subsidy pie.

If this isn't a global supply chain plot twist worthy of a Casablanca flick, tell me what is.

To China, I say Zuò dé hǎo.
