Record 'n' roll

Have you ever experienced a situation where you had a disagreement with your booked driver or rider? Perhaps it escalated into a full-on confrontation or harassment, but you couldn't corroborate your story to bystanders or authorities.

Oh, how much you wished you could record evidence that could establish your claims about how the entire event transpired and how your usual evening ride back from work or a customer ride turned into a nightmare trip. I can bet there's nothing more frustrating than not having any proof to support your side of the story.

In Techloy's lead story this week, I covered Uber's launch of its audio recording feature across several African cities – which basically helps you record audio on a trip and report a safety incident through its ride app.

Be safe,

– Emmanuel
