- The funds will help the startup to expand in streamlining cross border commerce from Africa to the rest of the world.
- Klasha is solving the problems merchants and consumers face when they pay for products online using different channels.
- The firm uses one API to enable KlashaCheckout where merchants outside Africa can receive payment from Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, and Kenya, and KlashaWire, a channel that allows merchants in the six focus countries to pay their suppliers in local currencies.
- American Express (AMEX) Ventures, an investment group of American Express co-led the new round with Global Ventures.
