Nokia 1 launches in South Africa for R999

Nokia 1, a budget device that comes with Android Go, a slimmer version of Android 8, is now available in South Africa, according to a press release from HMD Global.

The device features a 4.5-inch 854×480 screen, 8GB of internal storage with a memory card slot allowing extended memory up to 128GB, 1GB of RAM and a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M chipset, a removable 2,150mAh battery, 5MP rear camera and a 2MP camera up front, a 4G radio, a 2150mAh battery and two colour variants: Warm Red and Dark Blue.

The Nokia 1 is available through Cell C, MTN, Vodacom and leading retail outlets in South Africa at a retail price of R999.
