North America's top smartphone brands in Q2 2023
The North American smartphone market faced a significant challenge in the second quarter of 2023, as recent data from Canalys revealed its worst quarterly performance in over a decade. During the quarter, the market saw a startling 22% year-over-year decline in smartphone shipments.
Canalys attributes part of this decline to struggles in the low-end market due to diminishing prepaid demand. Notably, the average selling price increased from $663 to $738 year-over-year, indicating a preference for premium phones.
