Pan African VC Oui Capital secures first close of its $30 million second fund
Oui Capital, an investment firm focusing on the African startup ecosystem, has raised over $11 million of the $30 million target for its second fund, tagged, Oui Capital Mentors Fund II.
- The new fund will be deployed as up to $750,000 per startup, the VC claims.
- Founded in 2019, Oui Capital invests in tech-driven startups with innovative businesses that will shape Africa.
- With its $10 million debut fund, the VC invested in 18 startups spanning fintech, logistics, mobility, e-commerce, healthcare, and enterprise software, startups such as TeamApt, MVX, Akiba Digital, Duplo, NoVo, Maad and others.
- Oui has invested in startups in Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, Egypt, and South Africa, and plans to extend its investments to North Africa and the Francophone Africa regions.
