Quora’s Poe Now Allows Users to Create Interactive Apps With Chatbots
What's more interesting is that you can create apps using more than one chatbot.
Poe, Quora's subscription-based, cross-platform aggregator for AI-powered chatbots, has launched an interesting feature called "Previews" that lets users create interactive apps directly in chats with chatbots.
With Previews, you can build data visualizations, games, and even drum machines once you type things like "Analyze the information in this report and turn it into a digestible and interactive presentation to help me understand it."
What's more interesting is that you can create apps using more than one chatbot. For example, you can use both Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's GPT-4o to create an app while drawing inspiration and ideas from uploaded files. Once you are done, you can then provide access for others to view by sharing a link with them.
For context, this new Previews feature is similar to Antropic's recently released Artifacts, dedicated workspaces where users can edit and add to AI-generated content like code and documents.
The standout difference is that Artifacts is limited to Anthropic's models, whereas Previews is more flexible, offering support for HTML, CSS, and Javascript functionalities from any chatbot, with more to be added in the future.
Keep in mind, however, that for you to get the most out of Previews, you will have to make use of chatbots that excel at programming. Common examples include Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro. You will also be required to pay a subscription fee of $20 per month for Poe's premium plan to be able to create apps.
Quora has confirmed that its reasons for the introduction of the new Previews feature on Poe are to leverage artificial intelligence to provide more insightful and relevant answers to users' questions and to enhance the overall experience for over 400 million global active users on the platform.
