What to Expect at Galaxy Unpacked 2024

  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

Samsung’s foldable phones are expected to be featured. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to feature an updated design with brighter screens, a longer battery life, and a squared-off aesthetic. Leaks suggest it will maintain the same 4,400mAh battery size but will be lighter and thinner, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is anticipated to have a brighter screen, a vapor chamber cooling system, and a battery capacity of either 3,790mAh or 4,000mAh. It might also switch to an IPS panel for the secondary screen. Both devices are expected to integrate the Galaxy AI features.

  • Galaxy Ring

The Galaxy Ring, first teased in January, is expected to be a highlight of the event. The Galaxy Ring is designed to track health metrics such as sleep and heart rate. Rumors suggest it will be priced around $300 to $350, coupled with a fitness and health subscription service.

  • Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI will likely see significant updates. Initially introduced earlier this year, Galaxy AI includes features like on-device translations, photo and video editing, and Circle to Search.

  • Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra

Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup, including a new Ultra model. According to leaks, the Watch 7 Ultra will feature a squircle case, a third button similar to Apple’s Action Button, and possibly a new watchband connector design. The regular Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch FE may also be unveiled.

  • Galaxy Buds 3

The event will introduce new Galaxy Buds, possibly the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. Leaks suggest a design similar to Apple’s AirPods. The Galaxy Buds 3 case might feature a transparent top, allowing users to check if the earbuds are inside at a glance. The Buds 3 Pro may sport a matte gray finish and be priced around $250.

Conclusion

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked July 2024 event promises to be exciting, from foldable phones and smartwatches to AI advancements and health wearables. Be sure to tune in today at 9AM ET (2PM WAT) to catch all the latest announcements live.
