Samsung is working on an AI-powered notification summary feature similar to Apple's

With rumours of One UI 7 possibly coming sooner than expected, this would be a pleasant surprise for Samsung users.

When Samsung unveiled One UI 7, its upcoming operating system update, many of the leaked and rumoured features bore a striking resemblance to those that Apple users have enjoyed for years, such as dynamic island-style notifications and an Apple-like control panel.

However, it seems Samsung isn’t done taking cues from Apple, as it may also be working on an AI-powered notification summary feature similar to Apple's.

Apple Intelligence has arrived on iPhones — here are the 9 key features you can use now
The latest update finally delivers Apple Intelligence to compatible iPhones, including all iPhone 16 line up and the iPhone 15 Pro models.

By now, many are quickly getting familiar with Apple Intelligence features, particularly the notification summaries, which have received mixed reactions despite being publicly available for less than a month. As the name suggests, this feature uses on-device AI to summarize notifications—depending on your settings—allowing you to access the key points without needing to open each notification.

Samsung's rumoured version is expected to function similarly, but instead of Apple Intelligence, it would be powered by Galaxy AI, Samsung's own AI model. Reports from Sammobile indicate that Samsung's AI summary feature might support multiple languages, including English, Chinese, and French, unlike Apple’s feature, which is currently only available in English.

With the full release of One UI 7 scheduled for next year and the beta version pushed back to December—or possibly mid-November if we’re optimistic—there’s no way to confirm this just yet. For now, we’re left with rumours and speculations.

If Samsung goes ahead with this feature, it could set a new trend among AI-powered assistants, and we might even see Google adopt something similar for Gemini. Eventually, users might rely solely on these AI-generated summaries, eliminating the need to sift through notifications altogether.
