Melda Akin, an award-winning computer scientist and founder of D14.AI, has launched Sirius Labs, an AI-driven training app to help women improve their tech skills and set them up for promising careers in the sector.
The app uses AI to create personalized learning pathways for each student and provide workshops, bootcamps, and empowerment events with top technology companies to teach the necessary skills. Sirius Labs aims to train 100 women from MENA and Turkey in the next six months and sign 20 hiring contracts for technology roles.
The app is designed to tackle the under-representation of women in the tech sector and to empower them to succeed in tech-based careers.
The platform covers several technology-focused subjects, including software development, data science, project management, product management, introduction to AI, IOS development, and Android development. It also provides guidance on important soft skills such as communication, conflict resolution, public speaking, and storytelling.
The initiative is also open to partnerships with companies from different industries looking to recruit tech talent or carry out tech training for their employees. Through collaboration with leading technology companies in the MENA region, Sirius Labs hopes to provide companies with the best talent available and empower women to succeed in tech-based careers.
