Smart ring is now a luxury item, with a hefty price tag to match
And Rare isn't built for the 99%.
Move away, smartwatches and fitness trackers – a whole new level of wearable tech has gone premium, with a hefty price tag to match.
At CES 2025, Ultrahuman unveiled Rare, and let me tell you: it isn't your average gadget. With three distinctive pieces in the “Desert Collection”, both the Rare Desert Rose and the Rare Dune are crafted from 18K Gold, while the Rare Desert Snow is crafted from PT950 platinum.
The Rare luxury smart rings will retail for between £1500 and £1800 and will be available from mid-January 2025 in two luxury stores – Selfridges in London and Printemps in Paris, with plans to launch in New York, Milan, Dubai and India later in the year.
Technical specifications
With Rare, individuals can monitor key health indicators such as sleep, movement, heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV), stress and skin temperature. Mohit Kumar, Founder and CEO of Ultrahuman says the company has "reimagined what a smart ring can be, creating a masterpiece that not only brings personal wellness but also embodies the pinnacle of luxury and craftsmanship.”
Rare isn't built for the 99%, but, if you're the type who measures success in both carats and calories burned, not afraid to splurge and believes that a little sparkle can go a long way, then Rare might just be the ultimate accessory.
