Somalia Gets 5G as it Plans to Boost Regional Trade
Somalia which has the longest coastline in Africa has just gotten its first fifth-generation (5G) internet service to help boost its trade relationships with other East African countries.
The network service was delivered by Hormuud Telecom Somalia Inc., the largest telecommunications provider in the country with over four million customers and a net valuation of $2.7 billion.
With the introduction of the 5G network, Somalia can now facilitate better business activities and actively participate in the happenings of East African communities.
Also, the country can now use the service to boost its healthcare, education, and productivity sectors after enduring three decades of civil war.
