Seadronix, a South Korean AI-driven startup, which is digitizing cargo ships arrival and vehicle operations for safety at ports, has raised $5.8 million in an extension of its Series A round bringing the total raised funds to $8.3 million.
- Seadronix uses Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and 5G technology to enhance security and digitize logistics and arrival of cargo ships at ports to save energy.
- The startup plans to use the funds to hire more AI talents and break into global markets in Singapore and Europe.
- Launched in 2015 by three researchers from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST): Park, Donghun Kim, and Hankeun Kim, the startup integrates vision sensors and lidar to assist huge ships berth with reduced environmental risks.
