Threads app now allows you to share your custom feeds
Threads just made it way easier to share the stuff you love. As announced by Meta, you can now share your custom feeds with other users, and they can pin them to their home pages.
So instead of constantly searching for posts on your favourite topics, you can just follow a perfectly curated stream of posts that someone else has already put together.
The custom feed was rolled out last November, but you could only organize posts based on your interests. Now, with this update, you can make those feeds public and share them with friends. If you've ever wanted to send your friend a feed dedicated to special interests, you can do that with Threads.
Making a feed public is quite simple, just tap and hold your feed, hit “Edit Feeds,” and toggle on the “Public” setting.
Once it’s out there, others can find it in the new “Feeds” tab on your profile. They can pin it to their homepage, or you can send it directly to DMs by tapping “View Feed” and hitting the share button.
Meta is stepping up its game keeping up with the competition, particularly Bluesky. Bluesky, which now has over 30 million users as posted by its official handle, has been gaining serious momentum, especially with X (formerly Twitter) losing its grip on its audience. One of Bluesky’s biggest draws is its custom feeds, and it’s no surprise that Threads is now following suit.
Meta is adapting, and rapidly at that, showing that it's not sitting back and letting Bluesky eat into its potential user base.
