Threads begins rolling out a post-scheduler feature
With the post scheduler feature on threads, you can now make posts ahead of time.
As a content creator, having to stay up all night waiting for your followers to be active before posting your content, is a chore. The good news? Threads just rolled out its post-scheduling feature, making life a whole lot easier. While third-party apps have offered this option since March, the integration of the feature in Threads makes it more convenient.
Now you can create your content, set the perfect posting time, and let Threads handle the rest. Whether you’re catching up on sleep or focusing on other tasks, your scheduled post will go live exactly when you want it to.
You now have ultimate control over when your post goes up. To schedule a post, tap the three-dot menu in the post composer, select the 'Schedule' option, and choose the time that works for you. Scheduled posts will be saved in the drafts folder and you can edit or delete it at any time before publication.
The post scheduler feature will allow you to schedule your posts up to 75 days in advance, however, you won't be able to schedule replies.
Threads is now among the few social media platforms that have directly included this feature in their application. Platforms like Mastodon and Bluesky have the post-scheduling feature in their native application. Meanwhile on X (formerly Twitter), post-scheduling can only be done via third-party apps, not on the platform itself.
In addition to scheduling features, Threads also rolled out post analytics, giving you access to detailed performance data for your content. The insights on posts, follower growth, interaction rates, and more, are provided in a section of the app.
I find the post-scheduling feature quite useful since I no longer have to keep track of posts to be made. I'll just make them as I get the thoughts irrespective of having to be put out at a future date.
With these features and updates coming up at this rate, Threads might just have a shot at beating X (formerly Twitter).
